With new ‘green’ development land in short supply, brownfield sites are becoming utilised more and more. This can create potential problems based on the sites previous history.

WADES offers a wide range of services to prepare former industrial sites or contaminated land and sites for redevelopment.

The company utilises their experience to identify and successfully select the most cost effective and environmentally friendly techniques for each unique and specific problem.

Working closely with clients, consultants and the Environment Agency, we are able to provide solutions to existing site problems including decontamination, remediation, site clearance, reclamation, bulk haulage and site drainage solutions.

Experienced Project Managers and Site Agents ensure projects are completed to client’s requirements and / or specification, in the safest, most cost effective process, both on time and in budget.

The company has particular experience in the handling of contaminated sites and buildings, containing a number of hazards such as, asbestos, waste lubricants, fuels & oils, agricultural waste and industrial chemicals.

Projects undertaken have varied in size, type and value and have included:

  • Decontamination and hazardous material removal at offices, factories, warehouses and various sites.
  • Redesign and re-landscaped land site to remove site drainage problems. Work included, installation of new pond and plantings, installation of new drainage pipe system, land reshaping and strategic planting of hydrophilic plants and trees.
  • Site clearance and tidy
  • Removal of contaminated waste from rural sites

Other work has included de-gasing, decontamination, safe filling and removal of waste tanks. WADES is also an Environmental Agency registered Waste Carrier and Broker for controlled waste.
